Spring Broke

Welcome to spring break. My daughter tells me we are the only family in Northern Virginia not going to the far reaches of the Disney-defined world. We might go to the Mint, or Old Rag, or the Mighty Midget, or Chancellorsville, or good old Shenandoah National Park. So sad.

Goodness no. The record will reflect, however, that I offered you an all expenses paid trip to Our Nation's Capital, a destination so many kids can only dream of, but you refused.

Ahhhhh, what I wouldn't do to go to The Mighty Midget tonight! I'm wondering why NYC got 3 exclamation points - seems like the fave?

NYC does appear to be the fave. "I am a city person," she was heard to exclaim as we walked the mean streets of NW DC today.

oh, and to add to my list:

2 people(they're twins) are in Mexico.

And, yes, NYC, Paris, and Maui are the top three. Then Austin, followed by Mexico, followed by CA, followed by Canada, followed by the rest of them, as I have not been to these places(i know- I'm so deprived).

Oh- and btw- this so-called trip to "Our Nation's Capital"(of which i was not really offered) is NOT what most kids "can only dream of". I'm sure any of my friends you would ask would tell you that they would much rather be in one of these exzotic places. I have phone #s i could give you, if u would like to comfirm this information.

Excuse me, but we just finished spring break in Texas and the only place our girls went was, well, nowhere. They both enjoyed themselves immensely--and we even landed a homemade baklava courtesy of Maddie.
